Position Title: Electrical Engineer - Gas Control
Position Description: This position independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, policies, procedures, and criteria using judgment in identifying and implementing enhancements, adaptations, and modifications to existing and/or new equipment and systems. This position will provide technical support and guidance to the Gas Control organization.
Duties/Responsibilities: Provide oversight and technical development/engineering support of the Gas SCADA system.

Project management and execution of Gas Control and Storage projects, with a focus on maximizing Gas Control's ability to safely monitor and control the gas system.

Support Gas Control, SR&O, and IM&E operation groups with engineering based troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution.

Research and implement industry best practices and new technologies to support Gas Control operations.

Identify opportunities for improvement and/or suggests improved methods.

Plan and perform design, development and/or operating engineering assignments which could include responsibility for the engineering and construction of portions of a major project.

Coordinates the labor force assigned to each activity.

Coordinates activities of an assigned group with the various stages of an overall program.

Engineering assignments are broad in nature and incumbent will have the latitude of and the responsibility for unreviewed actions or decisions.

Actively participate in Gas Control regulatory compliance initiatives.

Assists with the development of department/engineering goals, objectives, budgets, programs, and procedures.

Plans and controls all activities so as to provide an accident-free work place.

Regularly reviews assignments to assure optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Directs the activities of cooperative interns, bargaining unit employees and others, as instructed, as they perform various activities including installation or checkout of new equipment, troubleshooting, testing, tuning, etc.

Performs other duties as directed by management
Education/Experience/Skills Required: ABET accredited degree in Electrical Engineering.
Salary: $65,000 - 100,000.
